CAP 2008 Press Release

Press Release On February 12, 2008, the international aid community appealed for a comprehensive international response to help vulnerable people  in Iraq over the next 12 months. UN agencies and NGOs said $265 million is needed to deliver urgent relief to Iraqis suffering under the humanitarian crisis inside the country.
 
Executive Summary As a planning mechanism, the Iraq CAP 2008 will contribute significantly to developing a more strategic approach to the provision of humanitarian aid. As a coordination mechanism, the CAP will foster closer cooperation between governments, donors, aid agencies and a range of other humanitarian organizations.

World Bank Iraq Trust Fund - IRFFI

The International Reconstruction Fund Facility for Iraq(IRFFI) was launched early in 2004 by the United Nations and the World Bank to help donor nations channel their resources and coordinate their support for reconstruction and development in Iraq.

  

Expanded Humanitarian Response Fund (ERF)

The ERF provides quickly-disbursed funds for national and international organizations to undertake urgent humanitarian activities in Iraq to alleviate suffering of the civilian population. The ERF is not intended to respond to chronic social problems, reconstruction or other long-term development needs.
