Sporadic fighting continues in Mogadishu

Sporadic fighting continued in Mogadishu during the week in Karaan, Hodan and Yaaqshiid districts with sources saying that at least 50 people were killed and more than 60 others injured and admitted into the three main hospitals of Madina, Kayseney and Daynile in the capital. According to a local Human Rights Organisation (Elman), at least 397 people have been killed and 1,738 others wounded since heavy fighting started on 7 May, between government forces and insurgents.
