To continue its close collaboration with the CSO/NGO community, the Human Security Unit briefed the offices of BOND (British Overseas NGOs for Development), Quaker and the Oxford Research  Groups. Many members of the CSO/NGO community incorporate the concept of human security in their work programmes and analysis. In particular, they see the utility of the human security concept in addressing today's challenges especially with regards to long-term security and the inter-linkages between security, development and human rights. These concerns were reiterated during the meetings held in the United Kingdom.
