21-23 April 2009: The Finish Center of Expertise in Comprehensive Crisis Management consisting of the Crisis Management Center (CMC) Finland and the Finish Defense Forces International Center (FINCENT) organized the second course on “Applying Human Security in Crisis Management and Peacebuilding” at FINCENT premises in Tuusula, Finland. The objective of the course was to increase participants’ knowledge of human security and to give tools for its application in crisis management and peacebuilding missions. Afghanistan was selected as the case study for the course and participants included civilian and military experts working in various international missions as well as governmental and non-governmental entities working at the strategic and planning level in Afghanistan.
