Global Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement 
These Guiding Principles address the specific needs of internally displaced persons worldwide. They identify rights and guarantees relevant to the protection of persons from forced displacement and to their protection and assistance during displacement as well as during return or resettlement and reintegration.

GRID-Nairobi
DEWA/GRID-Nairobi is one of UNEP's major centers for data and information management, with a unique, "value-adding" mandate in the handling of national, sub-regional and regional environmental statistics and data, which in turn supports the environment assessment and early warning activities of UNEP and its partners

Harmonisation Alignment & Coordination / Kenya Joint Assistance Strategy (KJAS)
The HAC aim is to harmonize, align, and coordinate donor activities with the aim of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of aid and reduce transactions costs to government, in line with the objectives of the Rome Declaration of February 2003.  The Harmonization, Alignment, and Coordination donor group (HAC) is established as a subgroup of the Donor Coordination Group (DCG), reporting to the World Bank as chair, with an initial membership of seven bilateral and multilateral agencies.

The Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) Nairobi
The Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on Disaster Preparedness provides a forum for regional organisations - international NGOs, the Red Cross and UN Agencies - to enhance information exchange and regional coordination in order to respond to emergencies in a timely and cost efficient manner.

International Center for Research in Agroforestry / ICRAF
The International Centre for Research in Agroforestry, ICRAF, has an ultimate purpose guiding its research. It is to work towards mitigating tropical deforestation, land depletion and rural poverty through improved agroforestry systems. Its goal is to initiate and assist in the generation and dissemination of appropriate agroforestry technologies for resource-poor farmers and other land users.

Following the recommendations of the Humanitarian Response Review, the cluster approach was proposed as a way of addressing gaps and strengthening the effectiveness of humanitarian response through building partnerships. The Kenya IASC Country  Team met on the 5th January 2008 to discuss , amongst other topics,the adoption of the cluster approach.
