Introduction to Early Recovery Sector Working Group Minimize

The Early Recovery and Food Security Cluster, which is co-chaired by UNDP and FAO comprises of UN agencies; international and local NGOs; Government departments; and donors. The Cluster works collaboratively with the Government to ensure that communities and regions affected by Kenya's post-election violence return to a sustainable state of normalcy as early as possible. Towards this goal, the Cluster focuses on six strategic pillars namely: peace and reconciliation; governance and rule of law; reviving livelihoods; restoring and enhancing capacities of basic services; mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues; and coordination and partnerships.
