Guidance and direction

The Joint Environment Unit has established an Advisory Group on Environmental Emergencies (AGEE) that provides guidance and direction on its substantive work.

Governance

The Joint Environment Unit, through the unique partnering arrangement between OCHA and UNEP, is governed by two high level governing bodies:

• Through OCHA by the UN General Assembly
  
• Through UNEP by the UNEP Governing Council
