External Evaluation of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)
This independent and external evaluation, pursuant to GA resolution 60/124, serves to examine the functioning and utilization of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) at the end of the second year of its operation. OCHA has been mandated to manage the evaluation, while the CERF Secretariat, under the financial authority of the Controller’s Office, has provided $300,000 in funding.
The evaluation is scheduled to begin in January 2008 and to be completed for submission to the Secretary General in July 2008.
