The main purpose of the training is to familiarize UN, IOM and NGO partners of the details of the CERF process.
Specifically, the workshops will enable participants to:
- Develop a clearer understanding of the CERF criteria, prioritization and approval process, key actors, roles and responsibilities
- Improve the quality of the submissions, including project narrative and budget request
- Enhance narrative and financial reporting
- Share lessons learned from the Region

Target Audience
The training specifically targets sector/cluster lead representatives, disaster management focal points, administrative/financial officers, and field/programme officers. OCHA staff who work with humanitarian financing issues are encouraged to attend.
