There are humanitarian emergencies all over the globe at this moment. People’s lives, homes and livelihoods are destroyed every day by both natural disasters and armed conflicts. The occurrence of these emergencies is growing every year.  To help the people affected by these horrific events, the UN and the specialised agencies need every bit of help they can get. (1) Support the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)

 

 

Support the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), a global fund to respond rapidly and equitably to all disasters. If you wish to support the UN’s Emergency Relief Efforts in disaster response, please contribute to the UN Foundation which channels resources through donations and partnerships to pressing relief needs across the world. Safeguards the rights and well-being of refugees and displaced communities

Protects the reproductive health of communities in crisis and provides census and data collection capabilities

> World Food Programme (WFP)

Mobilises and distributes food, and coordinates logistics support for large-scale emergency relief operations through the UN Joint Logistics Centre

> World Health Organization (WHO)

Reduces death, disease and disability among people affected by crisis, emergencies and disasters; optimises health in post-crisis transition, and supports recovery and development
