For Private Organizations and Individuals
There are four ways for private organizations and individuals to contribute to the CERF:
1. Online and tax deductible donations
It is possible to make online and tax deductible (only for the U.S. taxpayers) donations through a partnership with the United Nations Foundation, a U.S. 501 (c)(3) public charity. Donations can be made online or sent via check, money order or wire transfer.

3. Donation from a cellphone (only if you are in the United States)
Anyone can donate from their cell phone, just text CERF to 90999, to give $5, up to 5 times. The donation will appear on your cell phone bill. (Full terms can be found at www.mgive.com/a.)
4. Payment by Check
Checks must be made payable to “Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) Charitable Donations” with “name of payor’s contribution to CERF ” as reference and mailed to:

IMPORTANT
After the payment or transfer, please fax a letter to the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs at +1-212-963-1312, confirming the date and amount transferred (with US$ equivalent) and specifying that the contribution is for the Central Emergency Response Fund and that it is for 2010. This will help us track and report your contribution accurately.
