  • 19 October 2006 : Launch of the Human Security Booklet and Human Security Photographic Exhibition, entitled "Human Security for All: Integrated responses to protect and empower people and communities", in the Main Visitor's Lobby of the General Assembly Hall. The exhibition runs until 3 December, and will be travelling to Geneva and other locations in 2007. [More...]

  • May – July 2006: Visits to UNTFHS funded projects by members of the Advisory Board on Human Security, Professor Adebayo Adedeji and Ms. Sonia Picado, as well as the Human Security Unit. In-depth discussions were held with implementing agencies, targeted beneficiaries and Government representatives. Discussions focused on ways to respond to emerging threats as well as to improve the overall human security challenges faced by the targeted communities.

  • 30 May - 2 June 2006: International Symposium on "Building and Synergizing Partnership for Global Human Security and Development" was held on 30-31 May in Bangkok, Thailand, and was followed by the 8th Ministerial Meeting of the Human Security Network. [More...]

  • 17 February 2006: Subsequent to the meeting of the Advisory Board on Human Security on 19 October 2005, the Guidelines for the United Nations Trust For Human Security (UNTFHS) were amended on 13 February 2006. The amendment is aimed at streamlining the decision-making process, as well as to facilitate a more efficient project planning, review and approval process.
